IMCA’s Iain Grainger will be speaking at Europe’s most senior meeting for offshore and floating wind developers, Reuters’ Offshore & Floating Wind Europe 2023.
Europe’s offshore and floating wind sector is experiencing unstoppable growth. Industry giants are scaling up to deliver more projects at multi-gigawatt levels and capitalize on the multibillion-dollar market opportunity.
To achieve Europe’s 150GW target by 2030, we need to roll out an incredible 50GW of projects within the next two years. However, supply chain bottlenecks, aging infrastructure, and bureaucracy are all threats to industry growth and investor confidence. With $ billions in contracts ready to be unlocked, it’s crucial to act now and address these challenges.
Hosting every major developer, supplier, investor, and policy leader – this is where partnerships are formed, business-critical insights are shared, and the roadmap for long-term growth is laid out.
Iain Grainger, IMCA CEO, will moderate a discussion on Scaling up the supply chain to deliver energy security ambitions on day two (9.00am to 9.50am, Thursday October 26).
The session will explore local requirements, the right investments that will be needed, and the creation of a sustainable supply chain, with speakers from BEIS, Mainstream Renewable Power, Iberdrola and Corio.
Joining Iain will be:
Albert Clark, Head of Offshore Wind Investment, BEIS – UK Government.
Sian Lloyd Rees, UK Managing Director, Mainstream Renewable Power.
Cesar Marzabal, Global Procurement Director – Offshore Wind, Iberdrola.
Sonja Indrebo, Global Head of Floating Offshore Wind, Corio Generation.
