The World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO) Asia Pacific Summit addresses the mid to long-term development of Offshore and Floating Wind projects across the region.
The next WFO APAC Summit will be held in June in Tokyo and will continue the themes from the 2023 edition providing a great opportunity to explore further collaboration in the region.
IMCA CEO Iain Grainger will be the moderator of a panel discussion, How to Mitigate Risks & Uncertainties– Health and Safety, which will be held in the morning programme of day two.
Alongside Iain, will be Caren Hsiao (G+ Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation), Kazuki Takedomi (JGC Japan Corporation), Satsuki Sugai (Marubeni Offshore Wind Development Corporation (MOWD) and Naoaki Sekiguchi (Sompo Japan Insurance).
Also in attendance at the event from IMCA will be Jason Veerasingam, Director of Client Engagement – Asia-Pacific.
Iain Grainger has over 30 years experience in offshore marine construction around the world. He spent the early part of his career engineering and managing the installation of major offshore infrastructure before moving into commercial and strategy roles with tier one contractors.
Iain is a chartered engineer and has an MBA. He is a past president of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and was previously supporting IMCA in expanding its position in offshore renewables.
Jason joined IMCA in March 2022 and has over 30 years of multi-discipline work experience in the Oil & Gas and Civil/Marine Infrastructure sectors obtained both internationally (UK and India) as well as in Southeast Asia.
He has worked for engineering consultants, leading EPC contractors and offshore service providers. In the last 25 years, his focus on the South East Asia market has enabled him to develop a unique niche of bridging gaps and positioning international companies in this region.
Jason works well in multicultural dimensions and has built an extensive network of relationships with key stakeholders and business professionals in the region. Prior to joining IMCA, Jason was Area Manager at Boskalis Offshore, responsible for the business development of their suite of offshore services including the decommissioning of offshore assets in the region.
