Nominations Open for IMCA Annual Awards

Published on 6 September 2019

Nominations are now being accepted for the International Marine Contractors Association’s (IMCA) Environmental Sustainability and Safety Annual Awards.

As Allen Leatt, Chief Executive explains:

Following the success of the inaugural awards in 2018 when TechnipFMC’s Marine Operation Services won the Environmental Sustainability Award for the ‘very positive steps undertaken by crews to eliminate use of single-use plastics under T-MOS’s Plastics Reduction Plan; and the Safety Award was won jointly by MMA Offshore for its strategy and plans on ‘Target 365: A perfect day every day’ and Subsea 7 for ‘Driving IMCA’s Resilience Awareness Programme’, we are now running our awards programme on an annual basis.

This year both awards will be presented to the winning organisations at the IMCA Health, Safety & Environmental Seminar (HSSE) in Amsterdam on 19 November. Our judging panel is in place awaiting entries. The winners will be those they judge to be the best environmental sustainability and safety initiatives developed by IMCA members during the last two years.”

Full information on how to enter and the criteria for both awards is on the IMCA website at here or email communications@legacy.imca-int.com for more information.

Entries should be submitted to communications@legacy.imca-int.com with the closing date for submissions being 16 October 2019.

Safety lies at the heart of IMCA’s work, the association’s CEO, Allen Leatt recently described it as: “The golden thread running through everything that we do”. Environmental sustainability is one of two key strategic themes for IMCA (the other being digitalisation).
