Summary
The requirements of the IMCA Accredited Diving System Inspector (ADSI) scheme are set out in IMCA D081 Accredited Diving System Inspector Scheme. As part of the ADSI scheme, those seeking certification as accredited diving system inspectors are required to attend an IMCA-approved Trainee Diving System Inspector (TDSI) preparatory training course.
Although the scheme has two categories of accreditation (ADSI – Surface Orientated Systems and ADSI – Surface and Saturation Diving Systems), the essential principles and practices for conducting effective DESIGN audits of both surface and saturation diving systems should be covered in a single IMCA‑approved Trainee Diving System Inspector (TDSI) course, i.e. there is no need to create two separate TDSI courses (one for surface diving systems and one for saturation diving systems).
This document sets out guidance on the provision of IMCA-approved TDSI preparatory training course.
