Summary

This document sets out details of the IMCA certification schemes for offshore diving supervisors and life support technicians.

Safe offshore diving operations rely on a team of appropriately trained and competent personnel. Detailed guidance on diving personnel training and competency is set out in the following documents, the latest versions of which are available via the IMCA website (legacy.imca-int.com/publications):

  • IMCA D001 Dive technician competence and training
  • IMCA C003 Competence assurance and assessment: Guidance document and competence tables: Diving Division
  • IMCA D014 IMCA international code of practice for offshore diving

* Please note that, as of December 2022, parts of IMCA D013 related to the content of preparatory courses are now superseded, as set out in the following documents.
