IMCA’s regular regional meetings bring our Members together to discuss industry issues, trends, and developments, explore the latest from IMCA’s technical teams, and offer a great opportunity to meet colleagues from across the industry. Workshops reveal DP community’s views on GHG ambitions 

Last year IMCA held two workshops with the Dynamic Positioning (DP) community covering GHG emissions and the challenges for the industry to meet the more stringent IMO GHG Targets for the offshore fleet worldwide.   Held at the DP Asia Conference in Singapore in June 2023 and at the IMCA Regional Meeting in Rio de Janeiro on 9 November 2023, the two workshops reveal differing regional perspectives, as well as common concerns around the new interim targets.   In both Rio and Singapore, workshop participants were experienced DP professionals who shared their knowledge gained from years of working offshore.  Overall, both regions

New engagement lead in South America

Paulo Veronesi has joined IMCA as its new Director of Client Engagement – South America. He has a long career in offshore energy having held a variety of roles at Member companies TechnipFMC and most recently, McDermott. His career to date has seen him work across South America, as well as hold roles based in Paris, France and Houston, USA. IMCA celebrates with Brazil’s ‘Friend of the Navy’ award

The International Marine Contractors Association’s (IMCA’s) contribution to offshore training has been recognised by the presentation, by the Brazilian Navy, of the Brazilian ‘Friend of the Navy’ Medal (Medalha Amigo da Marinha) to John Chatten of Fugro, Chair of IMCA’s South America Region.IMCA‘s Chief Executive, Allen Leatt said: “It is an honour for IMCA to receive this accolade.We, and Fugro, are delighted. Consultation on IMCA’s Code of Practice on Environmental Sustainability
